Best Camp Cooking Ever

Primus brand camping stoves have been around forever, meaning that when I take this stove camping, I know I’m getting the best camping cooker out there.  It’s portable, easy to use, and a very reliable camping stove.  Cooking over an open fire is a great idea, but with the options the Primus stove brand provides – from a single burner, to an entire compact grilling experience – there’s no risk of dropping food in the fire.  Camping stoves also reduce the risk of forest fires or running afoul of burn regulations, while cooking food evenly and thoroughly.  Nor is Primus the only camping stove option, just one of several excellent brands and options.

I have found Coleman camp stoves and other folding camp stoves both combine portability with ease-of-use and the convenience I need from camp cookers.  Nor are these camp stoves limited to use in the short summer months. As long as I use them outside, they’re also great for heating up a meal during a power-outage.  The camping cooker can be the hero of the hour when my other option is cold soup out of the can.

For outdoor cooking this time of year, I like to deep-fry a turkey. That’s right, frying turkeys locks in flavor and juice.  To keep my deep-frying party a safe success, I use an infrared oil-less cooker that does the same job, but without the risk.  And it’s still possible to use it like a camp cooker, braving the elements to bring in the meal.
